Chairman’s Message

The International Pharmaceutical Excipients Council of India is an affiliate member of the IPEC – Federation. The Federation has members in the USA, the EU, Japan and China.

Excipients play an important role in the manufacturing of Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical formulations.

The members of IPEC India consist of manufacturers of excipients, pharmaceutical companies, distributors of excipients including importers and exporters. Our stakeholders include consultants, experts, academicians and Government departments and personnel.

IPEC India’s objective is to promote the proper usage of excipients and healthy growth of the excipients industry with regards to enhancing the manufacturing and quality standards of excipients in India. This creates an environment for safe use of quality excipients in drugs, foods, nutraceuticals.

Part of the activity of the Council is continuing Education and Training of the user Industry and Government departments like Food and Drugs Administrations (FDA) or the Food Safety Standard Association of India (FSSAI), as also academia and students of the nutrition and pharmaceutical sciences.

Several Webinars and Seminars are conducted through the year and members are kept informed of the state of the industry, it’s progress through the IPEC India EXIPIENCE magazine.
